We’ve all been there. When we hit a creative block, hard, and we need to do anything we can to break out of it. Well, the other day I found myself in that moment, completely stuck and trying my best to force myself out of it – which of course never works. So I tried to think of some ways that I could break out of these creative blocks in the future, and that’s when I landed on it… I was going to start a 30-Day Logo Challenge.
The plan would be simple, create one logo every day for 30 days. But because I know myself well enough, I knew if I did this alone I’d probably stop after day 5, so the next day I went to my fellow designer co-workers to see if they’d be up for the challenge and thankfully for me, they were all in.
Next, we came up with a list of completely random things to make logos for – the items range from Holidays to inside jokes at work to whatever your favorite podcast is. We opted to pre-set our list because then we would all create logos for the same items and it wouldn’t only be logos for things we have a personal interest in.
Today marks day one (and if you’re curious, today’s logo will be a logo for the “30 Logos in 30 Days” challenge – seems like the obvious choice, right?). So check back in 30 days (maybe with some posts in-between) and see what logos I come up with. And yes, I promise to share all of them… the good, the bad, and the ugly.
